This book is to acquaint visitors to the Everglades National Park with some of the characteristic plants, in the case those that grow on trunks and branches of trees. These are called epiphytes or air plants. They are a distinctive feature of the area and a constant source of interest and inquiry. Ferns, orchids, peperomias, bromeliads, one cactus and a tree have become adapted to aerial mode of living and are discussed in this book.
