Pieter M. Oversteegen was a retired social worker from the Netherlands who began his career as a graphic artist. Using his innate artistic skills and his hobby of growing orchids, combined with his latest acquired hoppy with computers, he began translated into Dutch the series of "Illustrations of Pleurothallids". He started by compiling a magnificent set of portraits of the vast majority of the species of the genus. This book includes 513 color photographs and color illustrations of Masdevallia orchids.
